Couples that have been together from a young age can experience difficulty in the later years of their relationship. The reason for this is that they may grow apart as life is much different at the age of 40 compared to that of being teenage lovers.

Give each other same space and let each do what they have to do. This may mean the one of you may wish to go travelling alone for a few weeks but I can assure you that if you don’t do it now you will regret it for the rest of your life.

I know for myself, when I travelled to many different countries on my own (which I loved) and I grew richer as a person and got to experience so many different cultures – it’s the best learning experience you can have.

During this time I had many girlfriends from different countries around the world. I am pleased to say that I am now happily married and feel like I have feed my curiosity about what different women are like. Otherwise I may be walking through life thinking, “What if?”

Pursue your different interests and spend time with your different groups of friends. Go travelling, experience life, and gain some clarity on what it is that you are destined to do on this earth.

Stop just ‘being’ and start ‘doing’. Life’s too short so make it the best experience you can – this is your blockbuster movie and you’re the director… Action!
